Over a year ago Nick contacted our company and said he had (5) Amsco 3080 tables and (30) Valleylab Force 2 ESU's and some other misc. equipment for sale. We made an offer of on the tables, esu's, a Mentor Genesis and a Valleylab Cusa. Nick said that he needed a week or so to get the tables and the esu's ready, but that if we prepaid for the Genesis and the Cusa we could pick up everything together. He used a check cashing store to cash our check. United Van Lines attempted to pick up the equipment several times but kept getting the run around. I tried contacting him and either he wouldn't answer the phone or I would get a message that asked for a pin number. We have been waiting for a refund for over a year now.

We paid to Nick Sculac of Colorado Medical Equipment for two machines last year. Last January he offered a trip to Miami to carry on the machines by $1000. We acepted it, but some days after that, he appeared requesting storage fee. We sent him $1000 for storage, but after that he become really hard to negociate. He just want more and more money, with rude expression notifying he's reselling our machines to any other because he want more money. At this time, we wired him $1450 full payment of machines, and $1000 for storage, and simply we don`t know if we will receive our machines. Miguel Galeano miguel@engimed.com

Dear Dotmed Users, I also had a terrible experience with Nick and Karen Sculac. They operate under the name Big Cats of Serenity Springs,11450 Gulthrie road,Calhan,Colorado,Tel:719-347-9200,719-238-8646,where they maintain an animal santuary for cats. I bought an X-ray Machine GE RT1 300mA,150kvp with a chest stand and other accessories,2 baby incubators,Ohmeda C100 and C450,a Mitsubishi P91 printer, etc.I also paid $1225.00 for crating and packing to this couple. All payments were by wire transfer to Karen Sculac, First Bank of El-Paso,Colorado Springs.Total Payments was $6560.00.These items were to be picked up by my Freight Forwarders ITN Inc. in Miami. In Dec,2005,they complained that the weather was bad and my shippers couldn't come to pick up the item.Since then it has been one cock and bull story.I attended the Rotary International Convention in Chicago,June2005 and used the opportunity to go to Colorado Springs and try and resolve the problems with them.Nick Sculac promised to pick me up at the airport, but could not be found on arrival.I called him and he said he and his wife have to go for a funeral in Florida that morning!!!!.All efforts to see my goods were abortive.I stayed in Colorado Springs for 9days and the Sculacs Kept on refusing to see me,even after coming back from the funeral!!.I reported the matter to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU of Colorado Springs and the County Sheriff's office.Deputy Daniel J.Templetom (719)520-7182.ext 4633 (danieltempleton (at) elpasoco (dot) com), came to the Motel to take my complaints and said i could go back to Nigeria,as he will make sure they contact my shipper,if not he will file charges against them. When i called him a few days later that the Sculacs have not made any efforts to contact my shippers to come and pick up the goods and my shippers have sent several emails and telephone calls,he Templetom said the matter is a civil one as "He cannot find anything criminal in what they have done".Leslie Beard of the Better Business Bureau (719-636-5076.ext117)and her colleagues tried their best but the Sculacs would not budge, rather they asked me to start paying them $35.00 a day for storage and if not they would not release my machines. All efforts to speak to them proved abortive as they would not take my calls or reply to telephone messages and emails. If there is anyway these couple could be brought to Justice,i am for it.I wam willing to send all documentation on this issue to anyone who can help. Thanks, Leonard Igini primedics@hotmail.com
