Carl Bovard who runs "Single Vision" near Palatka, Florida, continues to purchase baby cats to use in photo ops. He was at the Conch House in St. Augustine this past Sunday, November 7, 2010, sitting in the parking lot, hawking a baby bobcat and a baby cougar in the cold wind, all day long for $10 per photo. It was an extremely cold day, especially near the beaches.

I have turned him into USDA, and according to his inspection reports, he was visited by USDA at an off-site location, but no non-compliances were noted.

I think it's pathetic that this man gets away with abusing baby animals in this manner, and no one can do anything about it. He calls himself a "large mammal biologist," when in reality, he has a B.A. in biology with a C average. One is not a large mammal biologist unless they are working with Fish and Wildlife in the field with large mammals, not raising baby tigers for photo ops. Copies of Bovard's poor inspection reports were submitted to the Conch House months ago, yet they continue to allow him to set up his cage and van in their parking lot and whore out his animals.
