Illusionist Dirk Arthur retires a rare snow tiger to Serenity Springs Wildlife Center!
If you have not been out to the sanctuary recently you’ll definitely want to come visit our newest arrival, Snowmagic. Previously owned by Master Illusionist and Magician Extraordinaire Dirk Arthur, Snowmagic is a 9-year old male snow tiger. He was brought to Serenity Springs after being a featured performer in Athur’s Xtreme Magic show at the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. “I don’t believe in pushing my cats,” says Arthur, who owns 14 exotic cats, 8 of which he uses in his daily performances. “When they no longer wish to perform, I retire them so that they may live out their live in peace and tranquility. Their care and good health continues to be of prime importance.”
Snowmagic, the most unique cat in Arthur’s collection was also the rarest: a solid white tiger with no stripes and piercing blue eyes. Today, he is housed at Serenity Springs Wildlife Center in an enclosure next to Bianca (a fellow retiree from Arthur) and Savanna, best known for her appearance in the movie “Second Hand Lions.”
Tours during the winter months (Labor Day to Memorial Day) are Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. No appointments are needed. If the weather forecast is questionable, please check our voicemail at 719-347-9200 . We will update the recording if tours are cancelled for any reason. We look forward to seeing you soon!
